Susan, I have read Island in the Clouds, Don’t Stop Carnival and just finished One Woman’s Island. All of them are wonderful novels. Do have any more novels, or can you recommend another novel about Bequia/Caribbean. We have been traveling to Bequia for the past 11 years and have learned to love it as well as the people. I would enjoy any of your suggestions. Jim/Wanda
Thank you for your kind words, Jim, and for taking the time to contact me. I’m very pleased that you enjoyed reading my novels and wish to read more. I do have two more in the series that are at various stages of writing and editing. I’ll be certain to let you know when they are ready to be published. As for other books available that are set in the Caribbean, I can’t think of anything at the moment, but will contact you if something comes to my attention.
Susan, I have Island in the Clouds sitting on my nightstand and my husband has already read it. I am currently reading Don’t Stop the Carnival by Herman Wouk. Also, we stayed in Gingerlily and I plan to write a review plus a post on Bequia.
Lovely! Thank you for telling me, and I hope you enjoy reading the book. We can see Gingerlily from our house, although we’re on the other side of the Bay, up the Bequia Estates Road.
Sounds like my kind of series. We had a friend who had a boat in the Caribbean – never realized how many unique little islands are there until he invited us down for a couple of weeks to explore.
THinking we need a return trip and Bequia sounds like a great destination. Roughseas’s book review had gotten me fascinated. (and also the comments here) Now must go wander around here some more. (hope you are feeling better – been swatting mosquitoes like crazy today)
Thank you so much for reading and following my blog, philosophermouse! Happy to have you aboard,
………I was in Bequia earlier this month (April). I’d been once before when on an Windjammer Barefoot Cruise many years ago; ‘needed’ to return :~}. I remembered the book store on Bequia as I’d bought a replica of an antique map of the Caribbean and still have it hanging in my study. Yup, I’m a Caribbean groupie! I bought Island In the Clouds and loved it! I paged right through! Thank you for a good read. I’d be most interested in reading any other book (s) you’ve published.
Thank you so much for buying, reading, and commenting on my novel!! This means so much to me that you’ve taken the time to tell me you enjoyed the book. I am currently working on the second novel in a four-book series about Bequia. Please watch my blog for further announcements.
