Island in the Clouds – in Mississauga!

Keri Michaud took the Humber Creative Writing Program the same year I did, so we “met” on the student discussion board, along with a number of other friends we’ll be hearing from over the coming weeks. (Glenna Jenkins, one of the other students from that year, has already sent in her pictures.) I did meet Keri in person a few times with others from the email writing group we formed after finishing at Humber. We all still stick together virtually, by the way, cheering each other on as we achieve with our writing. Keri was part of a group of friends that came out to listen to me read at Ryerson University in Toronto when I won a student writing contest.

Keri writes for YA and middle-grade readers as well as pieces of adult non-fiction and lists her publications here on her blog.

Here’s what she says about reading Island in the Clouds and her accompanying picture follows. Gus hasn’t heard from a canine fan yet so is happy Sam kept her company while Keri read.

This is a photo of the Kobo download of Island in the Clouds I purchased to read on my Macbook. I am reading this fabulous mystery novel in my home office in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, and I have my dog, Sam, to keep me company. We are both terribly worried about Angie, of course, and Gus, Geoff’s pooch. I left off reading last night, in Chapter Eight. I can’t wait to find out whodunnit and neither can Sam.

Thanks, Keri!
