Ann & Steve Have Arrived!
Receta is moored down below us at Princess Margaret Beach. Steve is clearing customs, and we will all meet up later this afternoon once they are settled in. It’s great to have them back on Bequia again! They’ve been travelling south from Toronto since last summer.
I promise pictures will be posted here tomorrow.
Ann Vanderhoof wrote the great book, An Embarrassment of Mangoes - something we have at the moment on our tree out front, and, coincidentally, a topic I had planned to write a post about today anyway.

Hi there, I have been looking for Ann’s email to write her a big thank you. I am currently reading her book! It has been so fun and I am thrilled about the recipes. My boyfriend and I have been discussing sailing around the island (when the kids all go off to college) and finally just getting away…the two of us!! So..needless to say, I read any sailing book that I can find. This has been so cool to get the inside information and my goodness..the recipes. I love to cook and will enjoy having the island veggies and fruits, and of course run to sample. Please tell Ann..loved the book and maybe we’ll be sailing the islands together someday! mary
